We are living in tumultuous times. The world is a very dangerous place right now, and all the signs point to an eruption of war at any moment. The economies of nations that were heretofore stable are now in an uproar, with talk of bankruptcy of States and Nations every day. The "one world order" is on the tongues of leaders everywhere, even in the vocal expressions of the man that now holds the presidency in the United States.
The followers of Islam would like to see Israel and the Jews eradicated, and their hatred of the United States, though unwarranted, is only second to their hatred of Israel. Worship associated with Islam has become a war with the rest of the world. The goal of the Islamists/Jihadists is to place all the world under Shari'ah law. Muslim nations not operating under that law are defined as infidel countries, influenced by Western outsiders. Even though the Muslim religious doctrine did not come into being until perpetrated by Muhammad in the early 600 AD period, now that religious belief has become a political battle cry to do away with anyone that does not believe in the Islamist way.
We Westerners cannot begin to understand the mandate that says "One's soil, race, lineage, tribe, and family have nothing to do with Islam". Only what is under Shari'ah law is approved for survival.
In the history of the world there has never been a nation as generous to the rest of the world as has the United States. But that fact is conveniently overlooked by those that would like to see this giant tumble! The Muslim peoples operating under their Islamic mandate hate each other almost as much as they hate the "outsiders". They don't trust each other. They don't even like each other!! They kill each other when they don't believe in the Islamist edict to the same extent.
It is difficult for we Westerners who have been devoted to the Judao-Christian way of thinking to even begin to understand the mind of the Arab, the Middle Easterner, the tribal thinking and the Muslim/Islamic way of life. We can't imagine the terrible things that have taken place, even against each other. A good example of this is the mass slaughter in Hama, in Syria in the year 1982, directed by the President/Dictator of Syria, Hafez Assad, an Alawi Muslim with affiliations with the Ba-ath Muslims in that region. His enemies were other Muslims. He actually feared them. He ordered the mass killing of his own people in Hama a small village as a lesson to his fellow countrymen that this is what would happen to them if they didn't do as he said, so why wouldn't he also order the extermination of Israel, or the U.S.???
This is the way this massacre in Hama is described:
The residents of a Syrian city named Hama had been more persistent in their criticisms of the dictator than other towns. For that reason, Hafez Assad, President/Dictator decided that Hama would be the staging point of the example he was to make to the Syrian people. In the twilight hours of February the 2nd, 1982, the city of Hama was awakened by loud explosions. The Syrian air force had begun to drop their bombs from the dark sky.
The initial bombing run cost the city few casualties. It's main purpose had been to disable the roads so that no-one could escape. Earlier in the night, Syrian tanks and artillery systems had surrounded Hama. With the conclusion of the air bombing run, the tanks and artillery began their relentless shelling of the town.
The cost in human lives was severe. As homes crumbled upon their living occupants and the smell of charred skin filled the streets, a few residents managed to escape the shelling and started to flee. They were met by the Syrian army which had surrounded the city ... they were all shot dead.
Hours of shelling had turned Hama into rubble. The tanks and artillery had done all that they could. The next wave of attacks came in the form of Syrian soldiers. They quickly converged onto the town killing anything that would move. Groups of soldiers would round up men, women, and children only to shoot them in the back of the head. Many other soldiers would invade homes with the orders to kill all inhabitants.
After the majority of the people in Hama were dead, the soldiers began looting. They would take all that they could from the now empty homes. Some were seen picking through the dead civilians looking for money, watches, and rings.
With their mission completed and their pockets filled with loot, the soldiers began to retreat from the city. One would think that would have been the last wave of the attacks. It was not. The final attack on Hama was the most gruesome. To make sure that no person was left alive in the rubble and buildings, the Syrian army brought in poison gas generators. Cyanide gas filled the air of Hama. Bulldozers were later used to turn the city into a giant flat area.
The Syrian government death count was place at around 20,000 people dead ... but the Syrian Human Rights Committee estimates it to be much higher, at somewhere between 30,000 to 40,000 civilians’ dead or missing…”
After this horrible massacre and this vivid display of the total disrespect for human life and for fellow countrymen, the Syrians went on to become an integral part of the problems in Lebanon, no less the brutal and barbaric people of the 1982 Hama part:
For the last 25 years, the brave and resilient people of Lebanon have been under the hegemony of the worst totalitarian and anachronistic regimes in the Middle East. The hegemonic regime of the late Hafez Assad has left a bloody and long tradition: the massacre of over 30,000 citizens in the city of Hama in 1982 simply so Assad could remain the only ruler in Syria. Such regime proceeded to and continues to destroy Lebanon. The Assad regime has killed over 200,000 Lebanese, and forced the emigration of 1.5 million. All this in an attempt by Syria to fulfill its megalomaniacal, and hegemonic dream; of swallowing Lebanon; annexing it as a part of Syria.
The Arab world is a mess right now, and maybe it has always been this way, or so it seems. Lebanon, supposedly a model of what could happen to make the Middle East a place where co-existance could have taken place, is now the latest victim, has now fallen into the Islamic radical hands that will turn it into another extremist country.
The U.S. stands by, its officials making their normal stupid statements about what and why they are going to or not going to do something about the mess. What right, anyway, does America have in getting into the middle of this Arab mess? The Asharq al Answat newspaper out of London, which I read regularly, has this to say about the Lebanon situation:
"The cultural side of the Lebanese crisis is that Lebanon or "the message" as some Lebanese like to dub the country, used to be a perfect model for peaceful coexistence between different creeds and sects and which for a long period of time served as proof of the possibility of creating an all-embracing national identity despite religious, sectarian, and ethnic differences. However Lebanon, which was previously the pride of all Arab intellectuals, is now on the verge of collapse and disintegration, and is today bursting to the seams with sectarian clashes."
The final part of this same editorial states bluntly the hopelessness of the situation:
(quote)"The most important part of Prince Saud al-Faisal's (Saudi Arabia) statement was when he candidly said that "if the situation reaches separation or partition of Lebanon, this means the end of Lebanon as a state that is the model of peace coexistence between different religions, ethnicities, and communities."
In other words, and without going into all the boring details with regards the conflict between Hezbollah and its supporters on one hand, and the Future Movement and its backers on the other, the idea of Lebanon "the message" will have ended. This message is that people in our region can peacefully coexist side by side, and that their religious, sectarian, and ethnic differences can be transformed into a beautiful and harmonious mosaic.
This message was strangled in Iraq, has recently been tested in Egypt, and it seems that its obituary is being written in Lebanon. This is the greatest tragedy, and that is to live without hope in dull uniformity, without joy or diversity." (end quote

The Coming Middle East Crisis (quotes taken from Dr. Ed Hindson's book by the same title)
We have before us a real crisis in primarily three religious institutions, Islam, Christianity and Jewism. Of course there are others that have their own beliefs, such as the Pantheists, Buddhists, Hindus, and of course the Athiests. None of these, though, threaten to kill anyone not believing as they do. Only the Islamists do that, and their credo is to kill anyone not a Muslim.
"The Muslims claim to be the true people of the Old Testament, and that the Old Testament itself was lost and perverted by the Jews. Walid Awad of the Palestine Authority said recently, Jerusalem is not even a Jewish city. There is no tangible evidence of the Temple Mount ever belonging to the Jews. There never was a Solomon's Temple. Nor was there ever a second Temple on the Temple Mount."
Ikrima Sabri, the Palestinian Mufti of Jerusalem has said "There is not the smallest indication of a Jewish Temple on this place in the past .....no stone of the Western Wall has any connection to Hebrew history."
Those kiinds of extremist statements remind us that we are dealing with unreasonable people who cannot be expected to become reasonable. There is plenty of evidence of the existence of the Temple. In fact, the very Temple stones that were thrown down in fulfillment of Jesus' prophecy landed on the Roman street of the first century down below, and they are there today. You can go to the archaelogical park in Jerusalem, walk down under the wall, and literally walk righ up to those stones lying on the street. And just this week, further proof of the former existance of a Temple under the present Temple Mount has been found.
Today, Iran threatens the world attempting to make nuclear weapons not only to defend themselves, but also to destroy the nation and people of Israel. They intend to fulfill those threats!"

Today's Crisis - the Raging in Egypt on the Streets
We Americans can't begin to believe all of this that is going on. We don't understand what is going on. It is beyond our way of thinking. Our president however insists that there are no terrorists in the Islamic ranks. Islamics are touted as being peaceful. What a lie that is! They hate each other and kill each other wantonly, as evidenced above. Thus it shouldn't be a surprise that they hate America. Obama and his mouthpieces in the State Department are saying all the wrong words! They are goading the Egyptian ruler to step down so that the Muslim Brotherhood can take over. What a tragic set of events that would set off. The Islamists have been praying for a nation like Egypt to fall so that they can set up another Caliphate ruled under Shari'ah law. And our president supports this, but him being a Muslim explains a lot!
Egypt is likely to be the next victim of Islamic extremism. It won't be long before this country falls into the Islamic hands to be the next place for Shari'ah law.
The man we have to deal with now in Syria is the son of the man that ordered the above mass killing of his own people in Hama and oversaw the killing in Lebanon. How can you ever expect to get anything accomplished with people such as this? There is no explaining the state of mind of the Arab and thus the Muslim. Why is their hate so great? Why are they so angry? Who knows?
But America, once thought of as a stable democracy, is also in its own kind of trouble. Our administration and leaders in congress are doing their best to ruin this country from the inside, and they are succeeding! Their own greed and need for power has overcome their good sense. On one hand we have Islam trying to take over the whole world and kill all the infidels of which group we belong to, and on the other hand, we have our own government with its advisors and our president and other progressives/pushers trying to get rid of a working democracy and introduce a socialistic progressive and oppressive government. There's even a communist or two in the mix. Our freedom is at stake! What a mess!!
What was yesterday though isn't nearly as important as what is coming down the road. It's a tough road ahead for some people! We have already lived through one of the most dramatic times in the history of man, the twentieth century, where technology, including massive bombs of destruction, came into our lives in a huge way. Now we live at such a rapid pace, prodded by an information flow that we never have had in the past, our pace so rapid that every day you get the feeling that you have to read and listen to the news for fear that you will miss something terribly important for you to know. Our stress level is getting close to the top.
My Web Page:
In the past I needed an extensive amount of detail in my web site about myself when I was working in the professional world, or when I was lecturing on cruise ships, which I did for almost eight years after my retirement. People wanted to know the particulars about the person giving the lectures on board ship. My wife and I did almost 800 days on board ships during those years. Those years are described in one of my pages that follows.
But those days are past. I am now fully retired at the grand old age of 76 and there is no longer a need, nor a desire on my part, to tell anyone but a few friends about my past, but for now I am leaving my resume in place as well as the brief descriptions of the professional positions I have held during my working career. I may move all of this material off line in the near future.
My Crystal Ball:
The signs of the times are now pointing to where God is going to call an end to this world as we know it. I believe in the Bible, God's Word to we humans. Other religions have their own books that they believe. But in none of those books is the beginning and the end of the age predicted and then accomplished. All of God's prophecies in the Bible have come true and can be proven. Our end is predicted, and all the signs in those predictions are coming true right now! All three of the major religions in the world believe in the end times, but with very different views of who God is, and what the terms are for the end times. What a time in history to be alive! We are very close to that time when, as predicted in the Christian Bible, God will take all of His people, those that have accepted His Son, Jesus Christ as their personal savior, out of this world through what we call the Rapture, and then the world is in for seven terrible years of the end times, the Tribulation, when all hell will break loose. Then comes the end of the world as it has been. I won't be here for that, fortunately, nor will my family. We all believe in Christ. But those that have not accepted Christ as their personal Savior will be here and have to suffer through the terrible consequences of the tribulation end times!
So finally, as to this web site, I am in the process of revamping what was a resume into something else, that something else and the need for this web site not yet fully apparent to me. But that will come, in time. In the meantime, I leave you with the material that follows on the web site pages. This rundown on my past will only be on here for a very short time. I will then replace it with something else, not yet clear to me what?
And as I age, this body, which I have put through many physical trials, is starting to show signs of the need for constant attention and repair. I have already done many of these "fix-up" jobs. But they will continue until the body fails to function. God is in control! I have a great staff of doctors taking care of me, so I am still running on most of my cylinders.
So for now, Adieu.

Alas, this is what life comes down to when you reach my age:
A row of bottles on my shelf, Caused me to analyze myself. One yellow pill I have to pop, Goes to my heart so it won't stop!
A little white one that I take Goes to my hands so they won't shake. The blue ones that I use a lot, Tell me I'm happy when I'm not!
The purple pill goes to my brain and tells me that I have no pain. The capsules tell me not to wheeze, or cough or choke or even sneeze.
The red ones, smallest of them all, go to my blood so I won't fall. The orange ones, very big and bright, Prevent my leg cramps in the night.
Such an array of brilliant pills, helping to cure all kinds of ills. But what I'd really like to know, is what tells each one where to go?
