The story of my life is fascinating even to me.  When I started compiling all the things I have done into this latest of my resumes, I realized how much I have accomplished in so many different things.  I used to think it was all by accident, and that the choices I made were by chance.  Lately I have come to the knowledge that someone a lot more powerful than me made the choices for me.  Even though I strayed away from Him from time to time, He never left me.  God, that is!!

One of my favorite actors has always been John Wayne.  I even got to spend a day with Mr. Wayne when he was making a movie at Point Mugu where I was working at the time, so I have always had a special place in my life for him.  Back in the 1930's, one of John Wayne's cowboy sidekicks, Stuart Hamblen, wrote a famous piece of cowboy music suggested by Wayne when he jokingly told Hamblen that because of his newly found faith in God, he should write a song that spoke to the secret of God's grace.  So Stuart sat down that very moment and wrote this number which became famous world-wide.  "It is no secret, what God can do".  It has always been one of my favorite tunes, and if you don't know it, I am including it here in my resume because it is part of my faith as well.  During our full day and part evening of sitting and talking to Mr. Wayne, I was able to ask him about Stuart Hamblen and the great thing he had done to prompt Stuart into writing this song.  Mr. Wayne was impressed that I knew of this.

Hamblen had gone from a wild life of heavy drinking and partying, to accepting Jesus Christ as his Personal Savior at a Billy Graham Crusade in Los Angeles.  From night into day, as he put it.

It is no secret, what God can do

The words to this song reflect my own testimony to the grace of God, providing me a way to salvation through His Son, Jesus Christ.  I accepted Christ as my personal savior at an early age, then over the years, I strayed away from God, only to be brought to His Saving Grace again after going through some tough times.  God pardoned me for my sins the same way He will do for you, even as Stuart Hamblen wrote these words:  click on the icon further down this page below to listen to Elvis Presley sing the tune while you read the words below

The chimes of time ring out the news, another day is through.  Someone slipped and fell, was that someone you?
You may have longed for added strength, your courage to renew.  Do not be disheartened, for I have news for you.

It is no secret, what God can do.  What He's done for others, He'll do for you.
With arms wide open, He'll pardon you,  It is no secret, what God can do.

There is no night, for in His light, you'll never walk alone.  Always feel at home,  wherever you may roam.
There is no power can conquer you while God is on your side,  just take Him at His promise,  don't run away and hide.

It is no secret, what God can do.  What He's done for others, He'll do for you.
With arms wide open, He'll pardon you.  It is no secret, what God can do.

I am done with all my lecturing, so the resume that you find here has been reduced considerably, and what you will find in this new web site are the fun things I have chosen to highlight in my professional and personal life.  After this year there will probably not be a need for a published web site.  No need for it any more.

In preparing this web site, I have found that it is difficult to write about myself.  It comes out sounding like boasting, which is not what I intend.  I have an extensive professional background, most of it good.  I have made mistakes along the way, many in my personal life.  So what you will find here is a factual accounting of the many things I have chosen to do throughout my life.  Much of the time I was at the right place, at the right time.  Now, is that by accident?  Now I can say that none of it was by accident.  God was with me all the way and took good care of me.
